$2 Million Chimayó Center Sits Nearly Idle Months after Opening

(SUN file photo) The La Arbolera Community Center on State Road 76 in Chimayó cost $446,000 more than anticipated, bringing the final price tag to just over $2 million, Rio Arriba County records show. But since its grand opening May 1, the Center has hosted only two public events and has only one occupant.
