Samuel Simon Jaramillo “Sambo”,
age 22, a resident of Lyden passed away unexpectedly on Friday, December 26, 2008. He was preceded in death by his grandparents, Samuel and Asencion Jaramillo, Albino and Frances Archuleta of Ojo Caliente. Samuel is survived by his parents, Simon and Adelaida Jaramillo of Lyden; sister, Frances Archuleta and companion Lucas Culin; niece, Destiny Culin of Lyden; God sister, Paula Archuleta and God brother Paul Archuleta Martinez; Cousins, Eddie Jr., Estrella and Brittney of Ojo Caliente; aunts, uncles, and cousins, Paul and Bernice Archuleta, Albino and Jose Archuleta, of Ojo Caliente, Lenny Archuleta and companion Bianca Valdez, and Tiffany and girls, all of San Juan, Oliver Archuleta and companion MaryAnn McConnel of Pojoaque, Robert and Clara of Medenales, Larry and Diana Jaramillo, Larry Jr., Sarah and Danielle Jaramillo; God brother, Lukas Montoya of Española, Tony and Manuelita Jaramillo and kids of Albuquerque, Rosie Jaramillo and companion Gregg Temmer of Albuquerque, Theresa and Jack Crocker of Albuquerque, and numerous other relatives and friends. Public visitation was Monday, December 29, 2008 at 6:30 p.m. in the Sangre de Cristo Chapel of DeVargas Funeral Home, with a rosary following at 7:00 p.m. Mass of Christian Burial was held on Tuesday, December 30, 2008 at 1:00 p.m. at St. Mary’s Catholic Church in Ojo Caliente, with burial following at the Ojo Caliente Catholic Cemetery. Serving as pallbearers were Lenny P. Archuleta, Larry Jaramillo Jr., Joe Romero, Savo Garcia, Antonio Jaramillo and Shadow Salas. Honorary pallbearers were, Paul Archuleta Martinez, Alex Segovia, Charles Segovia, Destiny Culin, Isaac Pacheco and James Lujan.
