The Española/Rio Arriba 911 Center is the creation of several governmental entities. The city of Española acts as the Center’s fiscal agent, while the County provides the Center with the majority of its budget through a quarter-percent tax for County emergency services.
The 911 Board agreed on 5 percent raises for the Center’s non-probationary employees. Eight of the Center’s 16 employees have worked at the Center for more than a year and received the additional 5 percent, which went into effect Dec. 1.
