Being Homeless No Fun

    I read the piece in the Rio Grande SUN about the homeless. (Rio Grande SUN, Nov. 20, 2008 page A1, Chimayó Residents Blast Plans for Homeless Shelter)

    I agree. I was homeless for eight years with seven children.

    It’s not fun. The old saying is try it, you might like it. Believe me, it was no fun.

    We all need to help our neighbors as we love our neighbors. I am helping people all the time.

    Why can’t the old gas station on the corner of Riverside Drive and Fairview Lane be remodeled and used as a homeless shelter?

    I agree with the party who wrote the letter last week. Take a good look in the mirror and judge not, lest ye be judged.
