Air Monitors Protect Citizens

Now that the uranium contamination is out in the open, can any one or any government agency be honest about the uranium contamination in the Valley?  If we had air monitors situated a mile apart in the Valley then we might get a truthful calculation and know if it is hurting our children.

A year or so after the Los Alamos fire of late I was speaking to a friend who suffered an occupational injury.  She was signing up for food stamps and got to talking with a supervisor who was working during the noon hour.  Sound odd?  My friend asked her why she was working through the noon hour.  She said it was because there were so many applicants filing for food stamps. Families were applying after all other benefits had been used up, as a result of increase in birth defects nine months after the Los Alamos fire. These families had run out of money caring for the injured infants.

It is likely uranium contamination comes every day off the Los Alamos mesas. And when there was exceptional heat from the wildfire more contamination blew off the mesas.  But unless we have air monitors we will always be ignorant of the full extent of the problem.
