SYLVIA J. ENCINAS
Age 60, passed away February 17, 2009 after a lengthy battle with breast cancer.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Silviano and Stella Vargas; first husband, Eugenio Gallegos. She is survived by her husband, Rudy Encinias; her son, Dean Gallegos (Sonia); grandchildren: Jose, Robert and Elisia of Santa Fe; her daughter, Valerie Gallegos-McCamish (Darryl); grandchild, Carter of Muleshoe, TX; sisters, Glorianna Cortez and Olivia Blanco of Española. Sylvia was born May 13, 1948 in Española, NM and graduated from Mesa Vista High School in 1956. She was an Office Manager with George Gandy Insurance Agency and a member of St. Anne’s Catholic Church and the VFW Women’s Auxiliary. Serving as Pallbearers will be: Floyd Valdez, Ernesto Valdez, Aldo Alvarado, Andrew Encinias, Darryl McCamish and Jerry Valdez. A Visitation was held Friday, February 20, 2009 at Berardinelli Family Chapel. A Rosary was recited Friday, February 20, 2009, at St. Anne’s Church. A Mass was celebrated on Saturday, February 21, 2009, at St. Anne’s Church with interment following at Rosario Cemetery. Arrangements are under the direction of Berardinelli Family Funeral Service,
