I don’t understand why there is a comment box beneath articles if they aren’t going to get posted. I understand we want to promote positive support for our student athletes, but not everyone is going to support their leadership or lack there of.
Anyone who chooses to promote the Sundevil basketball coach knows not the game, or the integrity of the game. The political games played within the game itself do not promote success. It destroys confidence, leads to heartbreak, disappointment and losses.
When a person refuses to see their weaknesses, take constructive criticism, accept responsibility, and lacks the ability to develop talent rather than stealing it, it reveals the selfishness along with individual agendas being set in front of our children, who put their heart and soul into what they love.
The stage should be set allowing the children to be successful by instilling confidence and trust in all their abilities to perform. Trust builds confidence and aggressiveness wins games.
I haven’t seen either in five years. It’s been really frustrating to see so much talent not being utilized to its full potential because of politics and egotism. The biggest voices are those of the players and their parents and if they’re content with their current coaching staff, they shouldn’t expect the ultimate respect, satisfaction or achievement that is so very possible for them to attain.
There is no doubt in my mind the Sundevils have had the best, most talented team the last three years. Too bad, so sad.
