Hays Settles for $1.15 Million

(SUN File Photo) Ramona Hays and her two daughters accepted $1 million from the Kit Carson Electric Cooperative and $150,000 from Rio Arriba County last month to settle a lawsuit over Hays' husband's death. Former Brazos fire chief Michael Hays was killed in a February 2008 explosion at the Brazos Fire Station.
