McCurdy School seniors Kevin Redman and Devin Duran headed the list of Bobcats selected for the District 1A All-District football team.
Redman was named to the first team at wide receiver and Duran was one of three running backs selected for the first team.
Bobcat Junior Ryan Bustos was selected as an offensive lineman, as was Escalante High School junior Carlos Casados.
Junior Justin Atencio, who alternated between quarterback and wide receiver for Escalante, was chosen at wide receiver.
The second-team offense featured McCurdy’s freshman quarterback Louie Martinez. McCurdy Juniors Lucas Akes and Matt Bustos were named to the second team at wide receiver and offensive lineman, respectively, as was freshman punter Ron DeVargas.
A trio of Escalante sophomores were chosen for the second-team offense. John Salazar at running back, Isaiah Maldonado at wide receiver and offensive lineman Sean Ulibarri represented the Lobos.
Senior lineman Tony Gallegos was selected for All-District first-team defense for McCurdy. Redman and Martinez were selected as defensive backs.
Maldonado was selected at linebacker for the Lobos, while Atencio was named as a defensive back and junior Matthew Jordan to the defensive line.
Clayton High School defensive back/wide receiver Aric Trujillo was chosen the District 1A most valuable player.
