Sombrillo’s Tough Sell

(SUNfoto by Louis McGill) The old Sombrillo Elementary property, unused for the past six years, was put up for sale in May by the Española School District. Given the environmental problems and the poor condition of the buildings on the site, District officials have recognized they may have difficulty getting a good price for the property. “It looks like that’s going to probably sit there for a long time,” Superintendent Art Blea said.
