(SUNfoto by Louis McGill) San Juan Elementary students board a bus to the Albuquerque Sun Port May 17 for the first leg of the school’s annual trip to Florida. The trips have been organized every year since 1994 by San Juan teacher Lupe Griego, who will be retiring at the end of this year. They give students exposure to cultures and languages far beyond what they may experience in Northern New Mexico, parents and educators said, as well as a look at the Kennedy Space Center.
