While Quimby enjoys chess because it allows him to get out of class, Academy for Technology and the Classics eighth-grader Zach Pilgrim has a different reason for the personal appeal of the game. “It’s fun. It doesn’t matter if you win or lose. It’s still fun,” Pilgrim said.
