Woman Dies in Head-on Car Crash Monday

(SUNfoto by Wheeler Cowperthwaite) Two wrecked cars sit in position at the intersection of U.S. Highway 84/285 and State Road 399 Monday after a 69-year-old woman failed to yield to an on-coming car. The woman died at the scene, although a medical episode may have caused both the accident and her death. A 23-year-old man was transported to the hospital in Santa Fe with non-life-threatening injuries.
