Lady Sundevils Beat Lady Hawks

(SUNfoto by George Morse) Española Valley High School’s Kayla Salazar drives to the basket against the Thoreau Lady Hawks in the Sundevils’ 78-49 victory Jan. 10 at Española. Salazar scored seven points in the first quarter. Española led 36-21 at halftime and outscored the Hawks 25-12 in the fourth quarter. Ashlynn Trujillo led the Sundevils with 25 points. The Sundevils are 11-3 on the season.
