Dorothy Montoya and her daughter, Rita Ribas, both said they regularly see students who received services from Montoya while she worked at the teen clinic at Española Valley High School. Ribas recently met a woman who told her that when she became pregnant, Montoya would pick her and six or seven other girls up, in a truck, for school, just to make sure they made it to class and didn’t drop out.
