Archaeologist David Eck measures the length of one of the walls in the Sapawe Pueblo. Although he led the tour of the site, he said this is the only field work he has done there. According to an information sheet handed out during the tour, between 1963 and 1969, students and professors from the University of New Mexico held a field school at the site. Eck said there are no plans to do more digs at the Pueblo.
