It is getting out of hand. It was very irresponsible, on the part of Rio Arriba County officials, to remove the Oñate monument without consulting the gente, who live in the County.
What about those who want the statue to remain? Don’t they have a voice? Does that mean people can sign petitions and the other 59,000 or more people who live in the County or surrounding pueblos don’t have a voice any more?
