There is a wonderful sign, on U.S. Highway 84, on the west side of the highway, as you drive into Tierra Amarilla. The sign says, “Tierra o Muerte.” I believe the sign commemorates the 1962 Alianza uprising, for justice for Hispanic land owners.
The sign is beginning to deteriorate. I hope we can find ways to maintain this sign.
