With all this disrespect to our history in the past weeks, such as the removal of statues to our chicano Northern New Mexico history and culture, I will not give up my heritage because of Bureau of Land Management or Red Nation Ideology.
I am also not honoring the state flag, which has a native symbol on it. Take that down too, if it’s not good enough, like Oñate’s statue.
To be perfectly clear, get rid of that native symbol on the flag or redesign it with a red chile and a green chile. I’m not too happy with only one side getting taken down while the other dances with joy.
