I was disappointed when I read Michael Miller’s piece in the Rio Grande SUN’s Dec. 17 issue about ancient agriculture.
To quote Estevan Arellano himself. “The project would have never gotten off the ground had it not been for Orlando Romero, a historian and librarian who knows a gem when he sees one.” Yet Mr. Miller credits everyone else except Mr. Romero.
It was Mr. Romero, while doing research in Spain, who came across the work and later informed Mr. Arellano about his discovery. I was there when it happened.
I have also noted that Mr. Miller never cites the sources for his information. Why is that?
