With mass media conditioning driving the global health epidemic, your article “Try Spring Cleaning Using Natural Products” of 4/8/21 by Joy Czmyrid was a breath of fresh air.
As a professional organizer and holistic wellness coach since 1991 I have found most of my clients have one thing in common – struggles with low energy and brain fog.
So, I begin by requesting they remove all artificially scented items from their home for three days. Without fail, they report back with greater focus and increased energy.
While powerful corporate advertising creates the illusion that unnatural products will make us sexy, popular, clean, and responsible, in reality they are making us foggy, overweight and sick. They are in our drinking water and rivers and are affecting the health of our wildlife. We are lowering our immune systems by altering our chemistry and becoming more susceptible to not just coronavirus but also all other illnesses.
Laundry detergents and deodorants are the most impactful chemicals in your home because every move you make rubs chemicals into your skin, your largest organ. And in messing with people’s brains, we can impact crime rates, school performance, and work performance, because our neurobiology becomes our personality. In other words, messing with your brain alters your personality.
Consider using three non-toxic cleaners to clean 98 percent of your home: Bon Ami, Vinegar, and a natural orange cleaner mixed in different strengths for different jobs to replace the cupboard of cleaners you may currently have. To freshen the air in your home, use a spray bottle of water and just 10 drops of any pure essential oil.
Next time you buy anything, from deodorant to shampoo to laundry detergent or household cleaning products, I hope you will remember the wise words of Winston Churchill: “Healthy citizens are the greatest asset any country can have.”
