I appreciate the coverage the Rio Grande SUN gave to the Española Valley High School bowling team. I realize this is not a particularly high profile sport, but these young people worked very hard to get this championship.
Many thanks are also due to their coaches, Ruben Aguilar and Jeanie Brito, who do this on a volunteer basis. A lot of hours go into producing champion level bowlers.
