Well, look what we have here.
In one edition we have the current Mayor John Ramon Vigil writing and former Mayor Javier Sanchez, a new and regular columnist for the SUN also opining. It’s symbolic of what the SUN aspires to be: a newspaper offering a variety of opinions. Often that the variety comes from letter writers.
Lately, national columnist, Victor Davis Hanson, has drawn the largest response. His conservative opinions draw sharp rebukes. On the liberal side we now offer national writer, Mary Sanchez, (no relation to Joseph) who does not ignite folks the way either Hanson or Cal Thomas do.
We continue to comb local sources and other news outlets for writers who offer opposing views. Balance, fairness and variety are what we strive to achieve.
