Gov. Michelle Lujan Grisham on Monday signed legislation guaranteeing free school meals for New Mexico students. Food quality is expected to improve as a result of the legislation, sponsored by state Sens. Leo Jaramillo (D-Española) and Michael Padilla (D-Albuquerque). The governor was joined by the senators as she signed the bill at Piñon Elementary School in Santa Fe.
