Hannah Lopez, Escalante Track and Field

Lopez was the high point female athlete at the Dulce Hawk Invitational. She took first place in the long jump, 100-meter hurdles, the 400 meters and in the 4×400-meter relay. She also added a second-place finish in the 200 meters.

Joaquin Salazar, Española Valley Tennis

The senior was one of several Sundevils who had a big weekend. He won all three of his singles matches in straight sets, losing just seven games combined. He also won both of his doubles matches, along with Damian Gallegos, in easy fashion over good opponents.

Tino Salazar-Archuleta, McCurdy Baseball

McCurdy’s infielder had a huge weekend offensively for the Bobcats as they took third place at the Santa Fe Indian tournament. In the first-round game, he had a double, triple and home run for five RBIs. In their third-place game, he added three more hits and had three RBIs in a mercy-rule win.
