Pets of the Week 1/8/26

Harry is an 8-year-old orange tabby who arrived with a broken body but an unbroken heart. Found injured by a kind stranger, he was lovingly pieced back together by the Española Animal Shelter’s medical team. He lost one eye and sees only a little from the other, but somehow he sees love perfectly. Harry will need a safe, indoor-only home, where the world stays gentle and predictable. He’s fine with other cats, curious about everything, and endlessly devoted to people. Touch him once and he melts — kneading, purring, clinging to every second like it’s a gift. Harry doesn’t just want a home; he wants someone to adore him back as fiercely as he loves. If you have a soft place and a softer heart, Harry is ready to ring in the new year with you!

This absolute squishface of love is 9-months-old and powered entirely by friendship, wiggles and an uncontrollable urge to say hi to everyone. Tyson does not simply exist — he charms. He’s done well with other dogs, is learning to keep his enthusiasm inside the speed limit, walks like a gentleman on leash and balances his days between sidewalk struts, trail cruising and Olympic-level lounging. If your home is missing a joyful, meatball of a best friend who believes everyday is the best day ever, congrats. You’ve found a unicorn house hippo. Tyson is available for adoption, foster or foster-to-adopt from the Española Animal Shelter.
