The Española Public Library will host a Lego Creations Day from 10 a.m. to 5:30 p.m. Monday (5/4). Participants can enjoy free build time or take on challenges throughout the day. The event is open to all ages.

Legion Meeting

The American Legion members of Post 17 will meet, along with the members of the American Legion Auxiliary Unit 17, at 6 p.m. May 6 for the monthly general membership meetings. The meetings will be at the Legion, 314 Hunter St. For information about becoming a member and supporting veterans and enlisted personnel please contact Lorena Wigginton at 209-470-0708.

Vendors needed

The Fiesta del Valle de Española Corporation is seeking vendors for the 2026 Española Fiesta, July 10-12. Food, novelties, T-shirts, grilled corn, cotton candy, toys, arts and crafts, all vendors are needed. If interested contact vendor chairman Bernadette Jaramillo at 505-819-9839.

Exhibit

The Bond House Museum is showcasing the Northern New Mexico Artist Invitational Exhibit featuring artists Roger Montoya, Steve Chavez, Michelle Ferran, Nicholas Herrera and James Espinoza. The exhibit is on display through May 31. Admission is free. The Bond House is located at 706 Bond St. Exhibit hours are noon to 4 p.m. Wednesday, Friday and Saturday. Gamblers Anonymous

Senior benefits

Seniors can get help in applying for SNAP, Medicare, Medicare Part D, LIHEAP, the Medicare Savings Program and Medicaid by contacting Mariah Sandoval with the Rio Arriba County Health and Human Services Department at 505-753-2143, ext. 5109. She can check eligibility and help seniors apply for the programs.
