AG Should Address Trash Authority Problems

Published:

In small towns in Northern New Mexico, like La Madera, the people have a large problem with the solid waste company that is supposed to provide services to them. The company is not doing its job, yet they bill the people for services not rendered. In turn, the people don’t pay their bill because the services weren’t provided. The company is then putting a lien on their properties, which is not right.

Many people have signed a petition, with the help of Antonio DeVargas, asking the courts for help. This problem has been ongoing for years and must stop.

The First Judicial District Attorney’s Office appears to not be able, or willing, to help them. I have relatives in La Madera and I, along with these people think the Attorney General’s Office should step in to help them.
