ALEJANDRO GARDUNO,
83,a resident of Nambe, passed away on Tuesday, January 13, 2009 peacefully at home with his family by his side. He was preceded in death by his wife, Aurelia Garduño; son, Alejandrino Garduño; parents,
Joaquin and Aurelia Garduño; grandson, Carlos Garduño, Jr.; brothers, Amabe and Jerry Garduño; sister, Fabiola; mother-inlaw, Barbarita Garcia; brothers-in-law, Oliver Garcia, Ignacio Garcia; sisters-in-law, Rose Alice Baca and Gloria Kniffin. Mr. Garduño is survived by his children, Leonard Garduño and wife Evelyn, Joaquin “Jackie” Garduño, Carlos Garduño and wife Theresa, Guillermo Garduño and Sandra Romero all of Nambe; brother, Abelino Garduño and wife Adela of Nambe; sisters, Mela Lucero and husband Benny of Las Vegas, NM and Florence Gonzales and husband Jimmy of Nambe; brothers-in-law, Joe Garcia and wife Judy of Nambe and Pilar Baca of Nambe; sister-in-law, Lucille Garduño of Salida CO; 11 grandchildren; 13 great-grandchildren; 1 great-great-grandchild and numerous other family members and friends. Public visitation was on Monday, January 19, 2009 at Sacred Heart Catholic Church in Nambe, a rosary was recited at 7:00 p.m. Mass of Christian Burial was on celebrated Tuesday, January 20, 2009 also at Sacred Heart Catholic Church in Nambe. Burial followed at the Santa Fe National Cemetery, the following served as pallbearers, Jacinto, James and Lalo Garduño and Genaro, Alejandro and Bruno Romero. Honorary pallbearers named are, Michael and Victor Lujan, Barbara Nieto, Johnny Garcia, Camille Garduño, Melanie Romero, Valerie Maestas, Joylyn Cordova and Nadine Garduño, Yvette Naranjo and Steven Garduño.
