ALEX ROMERO,
3 months old, a resident of Cordova, passed away on Wednesday, March 4, 2009. He was preceded in death by his grandparents, Linda Herrera, Josie Lopez, Juan Medina and Johnny Herrera. Alex is survived by his parents, Joe and Julie Romero of Cordova; sister, Geraldine Romero; brother, Joe Romero III; grandparents, Leroy and Eva Medina of Chimayo and Joe Romero of Cordova; aunts and uncles, Lionel Martinez and wife Melissa of Arroyo Seco, Liz Medina and companion Ray Morales of Chimayo, Jimmy Herrera of Truchas and Julian and Daniel Romero both of Cordova; great-grandmothers, Sadie Medina of Chimayo and Amada Herrera of Española; Sabinita Herrera of Truchas; cousins, Lionel Jr., Brian, Rayna, Antonio and numerous other relatives and friends. Public visitation was Thursday, March 5, 2009 at 6:00 p.m. in the Sangre de Cristo Chapel of DeVargas Funeral Home & Crematory with a rosary was recited at 7:00 p.m. A second rosary was recited on Friday, March 6, 2009 at 8:00 p.m. at Holy Family Catholic Church in Chimayo. Mass of Christian Burial was celebrated on Saturday, March 7, 2009 at 10:00 a.m. also at Holy Family Catholic Church in Chimayo. Burial followed at Los Llanitos Catholic Cemetery in Truchas with the following serving as pallbearers, Lionel Martinez Jr., Brian Martinez, Andy Romero and Israel Sandoval.
