AMBROSIO ARSENIO ARCHULETA JR., a resident of El Duende, passed away on Sunday, February 1, 2009 following a short illness. He was preceded in death by his parents, Ambrosio and Maria Donelia Archuleta; brothers, Sammy, Eligio, Federico and Luis Archuleta; father and mother-in-law, Tony and Alice Dixon and God-daughter, Roxanne Archuleta. Ambrosio loved his farm, nature and loved and enjoyed his life. He was a giving person to less fortunate people than himself. He was a loving father and grandfather who has 2 angels, Hailey Marie and MiKayla. He cared for his family and was a loving husband, father, grandfather and uncle. Mr. Archuleta is survived by his wife, Dolores A. Archuleta; sons, Freddie Aniceto Archuleta, Vicente Jose Archuleta and Christopher Joseph Archuleta all of El Duende; granddaughters, Hailey and her mother, Cristina Romero of Española and MiKayla; brothers and sisters, Fabiola Quintana of La Puebla, Amalia Molly Martinez and husband Lino of Albuquerque, Inez Vigil of La Mesilla, Faustina Maestas and husband Rudy of Albuquerque, Maria Archuleta of Santa Fe, Theresa Jennings and husband Larry of Kentucky and Juan Archuleta and wife Rosina of El Guique; God-daughter, Catherine Archuleta of Santa Fe; sisters-in-law, Ruth Archuleta and family of Nevada and numerous nieces, nephews and other relatives and friends. Public visitation was Tuesday, February 3, 2009 at 6:30 p.m. in the Sangre de Cristo Chapel of DeVargas Funeral Home with a rosary following at 7:00 p.m. A second rosary was recited on Wednesday, February 4, 2009 at 7:30 p.m. at St. John the Baptist Catholic Church in Ohkay Owingeh with the Hermanos de Lyden reciting the rosary both nights. Mass of Christian Burial to be celebrated on Thursday, February 5, 2009 at 10:00 a.m. also at St. John the Baptist Catholic Church in Ohkay Owingeh. Burial to follow at the Ojo Caliente Catholic Cemetery with the following serving as pallbearers, Freddie, Vicente and Christopher Archuleta, Michelle Romero, Michael Romero and Robert Owens. Honorary pallbearers named are, Robert Castillo, Neil Chacon and Timothy Ortiz.
