Athletes Do Double Duty During Spring Sports

(SUNfoto by George Morse) Española Valley’s Darren Martinez won the 3200-mter run at the Capital City Invitational April 16 in Santa Fe. The Sundevils scored 24 points and finished seventh in the team standings. The Sundevils have grown stronger with a influx of athletes from other sports, but still have yet to qualify for the state track and field meet. Española competed Tuesday at the Taos Relays.
