Best Days Ahead for McCurdy

Published:

McCurdy School appreciates the amount of literary space that Mr. Morse provided in the Rio Grande Sun in his Nov. 12 commentary. Like every other academic institution across the country, private or public, we face many challenges brought on by our social and economic environment.

Yet McCurdy School demonstrates its academic quality in garnering almost $500,000 in scholarships for graduating seniors in 2009. Almost 97 percent of those same graduates went on to institutions of higher learning, a statistic of which all of us should be proud.

Likewise, we recognize the strength in athletics is learning to be part of a team, and learning how to win or lose in the sports of life. McCurdy knows our students will be given a solid foundation in order to make a positive impact in Espanola, in New Mexico and in the world.

These facts are a testament to McCurdy’s Christian heritage, the dedication and talents of its staff, the future of its students, the rich lives of its alumni, and the support of our community.  McCurdy is, and will remain, a light in the Valley.

McCurdy’s best days are ahead of us.
