(SUNfotos by George Morse) Honesty Romero, of Belen, shows off a basket of trout, including a lunker caught by Rudy Romero, June 8 at Laguna del Campo. The 10-acre lake near Los Ojos has been heavily stocked by the state Game and Fish Department with big trout from nearby Los Ojos Fish Hatchery. Laguna del Campo is a family fishing lake where anglers must be 14 years-of-age or younger, 65 years-of-age or older and up to two adults or guardians directly supervising younger anglers who are fishing. The lake is open May 1 to Oct. 31. The daily limit is three trout. Canada geese (below), as well as ospreys and other waterfowl are abundant at Laguna del Campo.
