Ms. Ellen Kaiper’s video class at Española Valley High School was taken from her this year. She was told that the administration wanted to take the class to another level.
So Mr. Flores was hired to teach the class. Name sound familiar? Happens to be son of the Athletic Director.
Ms. Kaiper had 27 years teaching that class. Mr. Flores has zero years of experience for that class.
It is now February. By now Ms. Kaiper would have at least three projects from students done. They have zero.
There are many state competitions into which Ms. Kaiper would have her students enter their work. Over the years they have won many awards and received tons of recognition for their work.
This year, nothing. The class has all but shut down and a bright spot at the Highs School is now a disaster.
Again the students suffer and a family member gets a job. The administration was correct stating the class is at a new level. It went from a class that was respected at the state level to another class where students can watch another movie.
