The city of Española is split into four districts, numbered 1 to 4 in the larger numerals on the map above, for the purpose of selecting City Councilors. The smaller numerals indicate precincts. Two councilors represent each district on the eight-member Council, and a voter in an Española municipal election may vote only for a councilor who represents the district where that voter lives. Four Council seats are up for election in the March 2 election.
