Contractor’s Family Questions Adoption Ruling

(SUNfoto by Lou Mattei) Española lawyer Yvonne Quintana and her ex-husband, Marvin Vigil, take vehicles from former contractor Antonio Garcia’s school bus companies to the Española School District for inspection. Quintana divorced Vigil in May 2008 and married Garcia in December. A judge has granted her temporary control over Garcia’s businesses, but she is currently fighting Garcia’s family for the remainder of his estate. A court hearing is scheduled for 8:30 a.m. Friday in Santa Fe on whether Quintana can represent herself in that dispute.
