The Attorney General’s Office raided Rio Arriba County Commissioner Barney Trujillo’s home in Chimayó on Jan. 20, 2017. The Office executed a search warrant a week earlier at the Española School District offices seeking documents related to a contract Trujillo had with the District. A grand jury indicted Trujillo on four felony charges more than 19 months after the Sept. 6 raids.
