New Mexico Department of Transportation Director of Traffic Safety Division Michael Sandoval explains why it is important for Rio Arriba County officials to reimburse the $205,000 it owes the Department, after failing to fulfill its part of a grant agreement. Sandoval said until the County settles its debt, they won’t have access to DWI enforcement funding. The only problem is, state officials haven’t followed through with instructions on how to remit payment.
