Crews Must Run Long Water Lines to Reach House Fire

An abandoned house burns the evening of Oct. 16 in Hernandez, before firefighters were able to connect and run water lines to it. Their fire trucks could not reach the blaze because an arroyo washed out the road in front of the house. Crews ran hundreds of feet of hose to reach the fire.
