David J. Romero

David J. Romero – Age 33  a resident of Truchas passed away on Friday, December 5, 2008 unexpectedly.  He was preceded in death by his paternal grandfather, Carpio Romero; close uncles:  David Martinez, Robert Martinez, Bobby Romero, Tobias Romero and Nelson Martinez, Jr.; and a number of loving aunts, uncles, cousins and relatives.  David was a carpenter by trade and attended Northern New Mexico College.  He is survived by his children:  Samantha Romero and Brandon Romero and their mother; Jennifer Lopez all of Alcalde; Haily Romero, Chantel Romero and their mother; Shannon Montoya all of Chimayo;  Companion:  Lorie Moya of Albuquerque; parents:  Ricky and Debra Romero of Truchas; brother, Fernando Romero and girlfriend, Amanda D. of Truchas; maternal grandparents:  Nelson and Corrina Martinez of Truchas; paternal grandmother, Carmelita Romero of Cordova; nephew, Ricky Jaden Romero of Truchas; 1 niece, Destiny Romero of Truchas; 10 loving uncles and aunts, numerous cousins and other relatives and friends.  Public visitation was Monday, December 8, 2008 at 6:00 p.m. in the Sangre de Cristo Chapel of DeVargas Funeral Home with a devotional service held at 7:00 p.m.  Funeral service was Tuesday, December 9, 2008 at 10:00 a.m. in the Sangre de Cristo Chapel of DeVargas Funeral Home.  Burial followed at the Cordova Presbyterian Cemetery in Cordova with the following serving as pallbearers:  Marvin David Martinez, Jolynn Martinez, Fernando Romero, Ernie Martinez, Ernesto DeAguero and Roy Romero.  Serving as honorary pallbearers were:  all of his children.  The family of David J.
