Several additional District 1-4A all-district honorees have been recognized at Española Valley, starting with football players wide receiver Cody Coffeen, running back Mikey Maestas and quarterback Cody Trujillo, who all were on the first team offense, and inside linebacker Leonard Martinez, outside linebacker Dylan Sandoval and cornerback on the first team defense. Maestas had it three times on the first team, being named a kick returner, as well.
In addition, wide receivers Benny Trujillo, Eric Trujillo and Santiago Trujillo were all on the second team offense and outside linebacker Santiago Trujillo, outside linebacker Xavier Garcia and Alejandro Valdez all were on the second team defense.
Cameron Guinn, Carlos Lucio and Mateo Maldonado all earned honorable mention recognition.
The following players were named All-Academic for District 1: Football players Matteo Maldonado, Benny Trujillo, Eric Trujillo Jr., Santiago Trujillo, Xavier Garcia, Mikey Maestas, Leonard Martinez, Dylan Sandoval; volleyball players Armani Lawrence, Naquita Martinez, Shaquila Montoya de Gurule, Faith Valdez, Myranda Arellano, Nayeli Canales Villarruel, Olivia Suazo, Leah Vigil and cross country runners Kimberly Andrade Quintino, Kennia Grajeda, Jazlynn Maestas, Morgan Sandoval, Elijah Martinez, Neveah Lovato and Ingrid Valenzuela Castillo.
In addition, McCurdy volleyball player Gabriela Velasquez was All-District 5 as a middle blocker.
