I do not understand the logic of some Americans choosing to not be vaccinated against COVID-19. Americans flock to their doctors’ offices to demand the latest wonder drug that was advertised on television. While most of the conditions claimed to be treated by these substances – developed in secret and whose trip through Food and Drug Administration is shrouded in mystery – may be painful and debilitating, they are not communicable and rarely fatal.
A host of serious side effects of those drugs are casually included in the advertising. Many more are not publicized. In almost every case, fatal conditions and deaths are included in those effects. And rates of incidence are not made public.
Yet the vaccines for COVID-19, whose development was conducted virtually in public, and whose approval process was widely publicized, are “not trusted, not tested, and side effects are not documented.” Yet any medical condition that arises in a handful of those who receive the vaccine is cause for suspension of its use and all cases are thoroughly examined.
The rate of incidence in the vaccinated as compared to the rate of those who do not receive the vaccine is virtually the same. Rates of suspected effects are in the hundredths, even thousandths, of percents in hundreds of millions of vaccinations.
But claims of undocumented statistics for unproven side effects of the vaccines by persons with no medical or scientific credentials (but many of whom are noted for ridiculous, off-the-wall comments on many subjects) are avidly ingested, widely disseminated and proudly cited as reasons for millions of otherwise intelligent Americans to refuse the vaccine.
Those people risk not only their own death or permanent health impairment and that of their loved ones, but will ultimately cause the fight to control the most deadly virus ever to infect the human race to fail.
