Epimenio J. Joseph,
60, a resident of Chamita and Ojo Caleinte passed away on Monday, March 9, 2009 following a long illness. He was preceded in death by his parents, Daniel and Consuelo Joseph; father and mother-in-law, Ramon and Naomi Herrera and more recently a niece, Denise Herrera. Epimenio was a loving husband, father, and grandfather. He loved fishing and the outdoors. He is survived by his wife, Mela Joseph of Albuquerque formerly of Chamita; children, Josephine Joseph and husband Sacha Gonzalez, Dominic Joseph and companion Nichole Martinez, Raymond Joseph and companion Angelica Gutierrez all of Albuquerque; grandchildren, Nicholas and Diego Sedillo, Dominic, Elena, and Danicka Joseph, Andres and Noah Joseph; brothers, and sisters, Daniel Joseph and wife Berlinda of Placita, Pete Joseph and wife Irene of Chamita, Felipe Joseph and wife Sarah of Chamita, Julian Joseph and wife Prescilla of Ojo Caliente, Dennis Joseph and companion Linda of Ojo Caliente; Joyce Christianson and husband Jeff of Espanola; God-son, Christopher Archuleta of Chamita; sister-in-law, Sheila Archuleta and husband David of Chamita; brothers-in-law, Andy Herrera and wife Eileen, Eddie Herrera and wife Linda and Estevan Herrera, all of Chamita and numerous other relatives that include nephews, nieces, uncles, aunts, cousin and other loving relatives and friends. Cremation has taken place. A rosary was recited on Friday, March 13, 2009 at 7:00 p.m. in the Sangre de Cristo Chapel of DeVargas Funeral Home. Memorial Mass was celebrated on Saturday, March 14, 2009 at 11:00 a.m. at St. Mary’s Catholic Church in Ojo Caliente, burial followed at the Ojo Caliente Cemetery. Honorary pallbearers named were all his grandchildren. The family of Epimenio J.
