Eugene “Gene” Finch
76, a resident of San Pedro, passed away on Friday April 10, 2009. He was preceded in death by his parents; Warren and Hazel Finch and 2 brothers; Raymond and Robert Finch. Gene taught at Espanola High School in the early 1950’s and went on into the Insurance industry and became a prominent businessman in the Espanola Valley. Mr. Finch was past Chairman of the Board of Sunwest Bank and McCurdy School. He was also a longtime member of the Kiwanis Club. He was a devoted husband, father and grandfather and will be dearly missed. He is survived by his wife, Helen Finch. Children; Cynthia Redman and husband Michael, Warren Finch and Renee Maez and husband Rudy. 3 Grandchildren; Gregory, Jennifer and Lindsay Redman all of San Pedro. His best friend and pet, his dog, Rusty. Numerous nephews, nieces and other loving relatives and friends. Cremation has taken place and a Memorial Mass was held on Tuesday April 14, 2009 at 11:00 a.m. at La Iglesia de Santa Cruz de la Cañada in Santa Cruz.
