Fire Consumes 6 Acres

A fire broke out on Saturday behind the old Desert Sun Motors building on Riverside Drive and the Las Lomas Apartments on State Road 76. The fire, which consumed six acres was eventually 100% contained and extingished. No one was hurt and there was no damage to any nearby buildings. Assistant Fire Chief John Wickersham said they aren’t sure what caused the blaze.
