Medics wheel Maria Rosita Gallegos, known to her friends and family as Brenda, toward a waiting helicopter, June 15, at the intersection of U.S. Highway 285 and State Road 111. She had been shot in the head allegedly by her son, Damian Herrera. She was taken off of life support, and died, June 17.
