Genevieve “Beva” Clarice Mascareñas, 47, Pojoaque, died Saturday, Dec. 20, 2008.
She was preceded in death by her grandparents, Fermin and Feliciana Villareal; father, Santiago Lopez; brothers, Arthur Lopez and Anthony Salazar.
Ms. Mascareñas is survived by her mother, Phoebe Petty, Pojoaque; fiancé, Lorenzo Barela, Santa Fe; daughters, Jenelle Roybal; sons, Santiago Mascarenas and Hugo Lopez, both of Pojoaque; sisters, Linda Diaz, Pojoaque; Kathy Fierro, Pojoaque; Viola Martinez, Chimayo; Darlene Lopez, Culver City, Calif., Ruby Lopez, Espanola; brothers, Tommy Lopez, Espanola; Jimmy Lopez, Española, Julian Lopez, Espanola; Andrew Salazar, Espanola; Roy Lopez, Gallup; 10 grandchildren and many other relatives and friends.
A wake service was held Dec. 21 at the family home in Pojoaque. Funeral mass was celebrated Dec. 22 at the Nuestra Senora De Guadalupe Catholic Church in Pojoaque. Burial followed at the Pojoaque Pueblo Catholic Cemetery.
