Geraldine Griego, 46, Velarde, died Thursday, April 23, 2009. She was a lifelong resident of Velarde who loved to cook and bake.
Ms. Griego is survived by her children, Sammy Griego, Jazming and Vivian Hernandez, all of Velarde; Emily Lucero, Colorado and Rachel Burden, Peralta; mother, Lorraine Hernandez, Velarde; father, Samuel Griego, Velarde; sister, Frances Griego; brothers, Rudy, Ronnie and Hector Griego, all of Velarde and numerous other relatives and friends.
A devotional service was held April 27 in the Sangre de Cristo Chapel of DeVargas Funeral Home & Crematory. A funeral service was held April 28 at the Apostolic Praise Temple Church in Dixon. Burial followed at the Apostolic Praise Temple Cemetery with the following serving as pallbearers, Isaac Quintana, Benjie Lucero, Jonathan Lucier, Hector, Ronnie and Rudy Griego.
