Governor Not Infringing on Our Rights

Published:

This is in response to the last two weeks of editorials by Michael Miller where he freely and ignorantly uses the Constitution and the bill of rights to politicize the coronavirus.

What this man fails to realize is that our governor is not infringing on our rights, the coronavirus is.

By his letters it seems that he is the man standing behind you at the grocery store without a face mask breathing down your back and infringing on each and everyone of us, our rights to avoid this virus.

It is people like this man that makes it impossible to control the spread of the virus. He says the percentage of people getting sick from this virus is low and so is the death rate. That might be the case, but which one of you is willing to have that small percentage be your loved one or yourself?

Our children are capable of learning at home virtually if necessary. Their safety is of utmost importance.

The economy will recover but if you lose a loved one, there is no recovering from that. We in Northern New Mexico value our families, Michael Miller. You are barking up the wrong tree if you think we are ignorantly going to listen to your implications.
